Baby Shower

Since many of my good friends would be in town during Christmas, we decided to wait until then to have Madeline's baby shower. It was supposed to be at Deanna's house, but bad weather changed the location to my parents' house.

Everyone brought Madeline a book along with their gift. We love reading them, and have many favorites already!

From the Beginning

Welcome Madeline Anna Hay! 8lbs 5oz. Born at 2:38 AM on November 13, 2007. We were so happy she was delivered safely, and were surprised to see not only how big she was, but all of that blonde hair!!
Dad enjoys the first few moments, and gets to see her first bath.
Mom holds her many hours later after recovery.

Last weekend we took advantage of the great weather and got outside to clean up our garden. Madeline loves being strapped to me in her Baby Bjorn, and Dan took this picture. I tried taking another one of us by holding the camera in front of us, but what resulted was the picture below. That smile was spontaneous, with no prompting from me. In fact, Madeline loves having her picture taken!
