Evie's Birthday part 2

The following Sunday we got to celebrate Evie's birthday again with the Hay side. Secondary entertainment was the Bears game!

Aunt Vicky and Uncle Phil came through again with another great chair!

Happy Birthday Baby!

Evie's 1st Birthday

Dan had to be out of town for the week of Evie's birthday, so we actually did our first celebration a few days early. We sang and she was able to enjoy some cupcake for the FIRST TIME!
On her actual birthday, we invited playgroup friends over for more fun and pizza and cupcakes.

YUM!

That night we enjoyed birthday dinner and Grandma & Grandpa's house and Grandpa got to give her some ice cream- a privilege he's been waiting all year for!

Grandpa's Birthday

January 2nd is a good day for one more celebration before everyone goes back to work and we go back to the regular routine. This year Grandpa celebrated the big "65" with us!

New Year's Eve

We weren't able to celebrate New Year's Eve with them last year because the had just brought Ryann home from the hospital, but this year we were able to continue our tradition of spending the evening with Chuck and Bryna. Laid back dinner, kids to bed fairly early, a rousing game of Bananagrams, lots of laughs, and ringing in the New Year with champagne and counting down with poor Chicago programming. A wonderful way to start the New Year. :)

They spent the night so they wouldn't have to move Ryann after midnight, and we enjoyed brunch together the next day in our pajamas.

Retro chairs

Dan's Aunt Vicky and Uncle Phil pull out their Big Bird chair for the girls to sit in whenever we visit their house. Remember the Halloween pictures? It has been quite a treasure, so they tracked down TWO chairs (thanks Ebay!) and brought them over as Christmas gifts.

I think the smiles say it all.
