The Morning Routine

Because I've felt so miserable, we've been fortunate to have a lot of help lately! Our mornings have started out with Grandpa Schmitt joining us for breakfast and then helping with laundry, cleaning, and getting kids dressed and ready for the day. The girls LOVE the yummy, sugary Fruit Harvest cereal that Grandpa brings over. When Evie sees him at the door, she is overcome with joy and excitement for "Haast" (Harvest)!

Preschool "Step-Up" Ceremony

On the last day of preschool we attended a mini-graduation ceremony. The kids sang a song and did a little show for parents, then got a graduation certificate.

Madeline with her beloved teachers, Mrs. D. and Mrs. Melby.

This picture cracks Dan up! Apparently no one was interested in having their picture taken at the moment.

If only we lived on a farm...

Madeline has not yet mastered the writing of her name. Granted, it does get tricky with so many letters. But she has mastered the "EIEIO" from Old MacDonald. :)

Tim's Wedding

Dan's childhood friend got married on Memorial Day weekend here in Naperville. It was a nice chance to get dressed up and go out, and catch up with family friends. Dan also had the honor of being an usher at the ceremony.

Madeline's school program

Madeline's preschool put on a Mother's Day tea in May. They did a short program and we enjoyed cookies and lemonade. Madeline has LOVED school this year, and will be back MWF next year at the same location.

Easter 2011

This was the beginning of my pregnancy, so not too many pictures were taken at Easter this year. But we did have a hunt for treats in our living room.

Madeline wore her new pink flower dress. Doesn't she look proud?

Yum! Yogurt covered rasins!
